Interpreters! Work with the agencies you want, in the way you want. 

Take 10 minutes to create your own profile on our Interpreters Portal at www.interpretersportal.com. As soon as your details are verified your name, your geographic location, language pairs and specialisms (but not your contact details) will be visible to any agency that uses the Interpreters-on-Call Platform for any aspect of their interpreting services.

Any of them might send you an invitation to join their services via the Platform.  You will get an email sent from Interpreters-on-Call alerting you to this recruitment request.  It is up to you to decide if you want to establish contact with them. You agree the services you will provide, the days and times you are prepared to be available and the rates you expect to be paid for different levels of service.  You can decide at any time to disconnect yourself from any individual agency.

You decide which interpreters to attach to each of your services, based on the quality, experience and cost profiles that meet your criteria.  The Platform ensures that only those interpreters you have allocated to a service can ever be connected to your customers.

You can invite your existing database of interpreters to work with you, using Interpreters-on-Call. You can also access the extensive database of freelance interpreters, located all around the world who are already registered on the Platform. This database covers an increasing range of language pairs currently greater than 750 language pairs, all coupled with diverse sector expertise.

Building the pool of interpreters

  • Interpreters-on-Call actively works with interpreter standards bodies to attract professional qualified interpreters to the platform
  • We constantly market to interpreters on a worldwide basis to encourage them to join the service
  • We are working with trade bodies to ensure independent 3rd party verification of the interpreter’s profile
  • The database lists every interpreter’s specialist areas of knowledge plus association memberships
  • Interpreters can also be ranked by you based on your performance criteria, so you can ensure your customers get the best service from the most appropriate linguists.

How the recruitment process works

  • Agencies identify the interpreters that they wish to work with from the interpreter database.
  • Via the Admin User’s interface you send a “recruitment” message to each relevant interpreter.
  • The interpreters automatically receive an email notifying them of this request and can respond to it via their portal.
  • Contracts are between the agency and the interpreters directly.
  • Once an interpreter agrees to work with you, you can add them to the prioritised list of interpreters to be contacted through your service.
  • If you need more interpreters at any time, simply repeat the recruitment process
